UGC NET exam pattern 2021 has been released by National Testing Agency (NTA) along with the representative notification. Till December 2018, UGC NET the pattern consisted of two papers (Paper 1 and 2) and these were conducted in two different sessions. Candidates had to finish both the papers (Paper 1 and 2) in period of one and two hours, respectively. However, in June 2019, NTA transformed the UGC NET exam pattern and according to this the candidates now have to appear for both the papers in single three-hour duration.

UGC NET Exam Pattern 2021
As described above, UGC NET is an online exam which is conducted as a Computer-Based Test (CBT). The exam consists of two papers that candidates need to finish in duration of three hours. Both Paper 1 and 2 contain point-type questions and it is compulsory for candidates to attempt questions from both papers.
