RRB GROUP D Exam
RRB Group D is a national-level exam conducted by the RRBs on behalf of the Railway Recruitment Cells (RRC). RRB Group D recruitment is a good opportunity for candidates who wish to join the Indian Railways. The recruitment is conducted to select candidates for the various posts in Level-1 of the seventh CPC pay matrix such as Track Maintainer Grade-IV, Helper/Assistant in various technical departments (Electrical, Mechanical, and S&T departments), Assistant Pointsman, and many more. RRB GROUP D Eligibility: Age Limits
A candidate must be either.
(A) A citizen of India, or
(B) A subject of Nepal, or
(C) A subject of Bhutan, or
(D) Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
(E) A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India
RRB GROUP D Eligibility: Age Limits
Candidates between 18 and 33 years could apply for RRB Group D exam. Relaxation in the upper age limit as given below was provided to candidates belonging to reserved categories.

What is the Educational Qualification under RRB GROUP D exam Eligibility Criteria 2020-21?
The educational qualification for RRB Group D is given below:
- Candidates who had completed Class 10 from an institution recognized by NCVT/SCVT or had National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) provided by NCVT were eligible to apply
- ITI was not mandatory for applying to RRB Group D recruitment
- Diploma/Degree in Engineering was not accepted in lieu of the course completed under Act Apprenticeship/ITI
- Candidates whose Class 10 results were awaited were not eligible to apply for the exam

RRB GROUP D Exam Pattern
RRB Group D exam comprises Computer Based Test (CBT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Document Verification and Medical Examination. The examination authority reserves the right to conduct CBT in either single or multi-stage. According to the RRB Group D exam pattern, the CBT consists of sections, such as General Science, Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, and General Awareness and Current Affairs. The duration of the test is 90 minutes. For each correct answer in CBT, candidates score one mark.
There is always negative marking for wrong answers, 1/3 marks are deducted for wrong answers. CBT is held in 15 languages besides English and Hindi. Candidates qualifying the CBT are required to undergo the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). This is followed by Document Verification and Medical Examination. The exam structure of CBT is given below.
