CAPF Exam

Central Armed Police Forces refers to uniform nomenclature of five Central Armed Police Forces of the Union of India under the authority of the Ministry of Home Affairs. Their role is to defend the national interest mainly against the internal threats. CAPF Exam is held for recruitment in Police Forces such as Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), National Security Guard (NSG), and Assam Rifles(AR).

The CRPF is one such force that is directly active in upholding law and order and supporting the local government in doing so. Apart from the original mandates of border guarding and guarding the industrial corridors, Assistant Commandant (AC) leads a company of about 150 armed personnel that is deployed for conducting elections and preserving normalcy (CISF). The Assistant Commandant’s duties include preparing and performing operations, ensuring on-the-job preparation to keep the Company operationally ready for any situation, organising an independent intelligence network for operational effectiveness, and ensuring the efficacy and serviceability of the Company’s armaments.
