SSC MTS Application Fee 2024
After the candidates have successfully filled in the application form for SSC MTS 2024, they will have to make the payment for the SSC MTS Application Form 2024. The payment will be made online via BHIM UPI, Net Banking, etc., or by offline mode.
- The candidates will pay Rs.100/- for the SSC MTS Application Form 2024.
- The payment can be done online via BHIM UPI, New Banking, Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit Cards.
- The payment can also be made offline through cash in SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan.
- Women, and candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD/ESM or eligible for other reservations and are exempted to pay SSC MTS Application Fees 2024.
- Applications received without the fee payment will not be considered for further processing.
SSC MTS Selection Process
In order to be recruited under SSC MTS, the candidates will have to meet the minimum eligibility and will also have to qualify for the examination. The candidates will have to go through the SSC MTS Selection Process which consists of a Computer Based Test. Candidates who will be qualified in the CBT are eligible to attend the Document Verification.
Paper-I (Computer-Based Examination)
The first stage of the SSC MTS selection process is Paper-I, which is a Computer-Based Examination. This test evaluates candidates on various subjects such as General Intelligence & Reasoning, Numerical Aptitude, General English, and General Awareness. The purpose of this examination is to assess the candidates’ knowledge, cognitive abilities, and problem-solving skills relevant to the Multi-Tasking Staff role. Only those who achieve the required cut-off marks in this exam will move on to the next stage.
Physical Efficiency Test
Following the Paper-I examination, candidates applying for the Havaldar position must undergo a Physical Efficiency Test (PET). One of the key components of the PET is the walking test, where male candidates are required to walk 1600 meters in 15 minutes, and female candidates must walk 1 kilometer in 20 minutes. This test measures the candidates’ physical fitness and endurance, essential for the demanding tasks associated specifically with the Havaldar position. Passing this walking test confirms that the candidates have the necessary physical stamina to perform their duties efficiently.
Physical Standard Test
In addition to the Physical Efficiency Test (PET), candidates applying for the Havaldar position must also pass the Physical Standard Test (PST). This test ensures that candidates meet the required physical standards, including height, chest measurement, and overall physique, specifically tailored for the role of Havaldar. The PST is designed to verify that candidates are physically well-suited for the job’s specific requirements, ensuring they can effectively handle the physical demands associated with the position.
Document Verification
Candidates who qualify in the CBT are then eligible for the Document Verification stage. In this phase, candidates must present their educational certificates, age proof, category certificates, and other relevant documents to confirm their eligibility and the authenticity of the information provided during the application process. This verification step is critical to ensure that all selected candidates meet the required criteria and standards set by the SSC. Successful completion of this stage is necessary for final selection for the SSC MTS positions.
SSC MTS Eligibility
The candidates will have to meet the minimum SSC MTS Eligibility set for the candidates in order to be eligible for the SSC MTS 2024.
- The candidates should be aged between 18-25 years for MTS in CBN (Department of Revenue).
- The candidates should be aged between 18-27 years for a few posts of MTS in CBIC (Department of Revenue).
- They must have passed the matriculation (Class 10th) or equivalent examination from a recognized board
SSC MTS Syllabus & Exam Pattern 2024
Candidates appearing for the SSC MTS must be familiar with the SSC MTS Syllabus & Exam Pattern. This will help them get an idea of the marking scheme, type of questions, important topics, etc. An overview of the same is given below.
- The SSC MTS Syllabus comprises topics from Numerical and Mathematical Ability, Reasoning & Problem Solving, General Awareness, and General English.
- The questions asked in the exam will be objective-type MCQs.
- The Session 1 contains Numerical and Mathematical Ability (20 questions, 60 marks) and Reasoning Ability and Problem-Solving (20 questions, 60 marks) in 45 minutes, totaling 40 questions and 120 marks.
- The Session 2 contains General Awareness (25 questions, 75 marks) and English Language and Comprehension (25 questions, 75 marks) in 45 minutes, totaling 50 questions and 150 marks.
- The SSC MTS exam consists of two sessions with a combined total of 90 questions and 270 marks, completed within 90 minutes.
- There will be no negative marking in Session-I. In Session-II, there will be a negative marking of one mark for each wrong answer.
SSC MTS Salary
The SSC MTS post falls under the Group C category of non-gazetted posts. The SSC MTS salary is Level-1 of the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) pay matrix. The SSC MTS salary comprises the basic pay along with other allowances. The pay scale of the SSC MTS post is Rs. 18,000 – Rs. 56,900.
