- The selection for Territorial Army Recruitment is done through Written examination followed by an Interview for civilians whereas the ex-servicemen applying for the same are exempted from the written test and will only have to qualify the Interview in order to qualify for the recruitment. A Service Selection Board (SSB) and a Medical Examination is done before the preparation of the final merit list. Given below is the in detailed Officer Civilian Territorial Army Selection Process:Step 1: Screening Stage (Written Exam and Interview Round)Candidates who applied for the TA exam are invited to a screening. There are two sorts of exams in this category. The written exam will evaluate reasoning, elementary mathematics, general knowledge, and language retention. The interview round, which is conducted by the Preliminary Interview Board, is the second step (PIB)Step 2: SSB Exam The candidates who are selected after the screening round will have to appear for SSB Examination.Step 3: Medical Test Selected candidates will thereafter be subjected to a thorough health check up as well as a physical examination in accordance with Military Hospital’s requirements.Territorial Army Exam PatternThe Written Test conducted for Civilians applying for the recruitment of Territorial Army consists of two papers and each paper has two sections in it.
