HTET Eligibility Criteria 2023

The HTET Eligibility 2023 has not been released yet. Until the release of the official eligibility criteria, applicants can follow the eligibility criteria of the last year i.e., 2022.

Applicants need to fulfill the eligibility criteria for HTET to sit for the examination. A draft from last year’s eligibility criteria has been mentioned below for each level to assume a sense for the upcoming HTET in 2023.

Level 1 (Classes 1 to 5)

• Applicants should have passed class 12 (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 45% marks with a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education/ two-year Diploma in Education in Special Education/ four-year B.Ed is also eligible.

Or

• Applicants should have passed with a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks and a B.Ed qualification.
• Applicants who have passed graduation or are appearing in the final year of the two-year Diploma in Elementary Education can also be eligible to apply.

Level 2 (Classes 6 to 8)

• Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.Sc./B.Com.,etc.)
• Applicants with a four-year bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.), and two years of D.Ed./B.Ed. are eligible.

Or

• Four-year B.A./B.Ed. (Special Education), B.Sc.Ed. or B.A.(Ed.), B.Sc.(Ed.) with 50% in B.Sc. or B.A., both appearing and passed applicants are eligible.

Level 3 (Classes 9 to 12)

• Applicants should have a post-graduate degree with a minimum of 50% in the specified subject from a recognized university.
• Applicants should also have graduated senior secondary/graduation/post-graduation with Hindi as one of the subjects or matric with Hindi or Sanskrit.

HTET Exam Pattern 2023

HTET Exam is conducted across three levels – Level 1, Level 2 & Level 3. Level 1 is for the primary teachers (classes 1 to 5), Level 2 is for the well-trained graduate teachers (classes 6 to 8) and Level 3 is for post-graduate teachers (classes 9 to 12). The three different levels contain different subjects adhering to the examination levels.

HTET Level 1 Exam is offered for the post of the primary teacher i.e., from class 1 to 5. The exam consists of 5 subjects in total.

HTET Level 2 Exam Pattern 2023

HTET Level 2 Exam is offered for the post of trained graduate teacher i.e., from classes 6 to 8. The exam consists of 4 subjects in total.

HTET Level 3 Exam Pattern 2023

HTET Level 3 Exam is offered for the post of post-graduate teacher i.e., from class 9 to 12. The exam consists of 4 subjects in total.
