Age Limits For Constable Post

Nationality Criteria

Only those candidates can apply for Delhi Police Recruitment who are:

• Indian Citizen.
• Tibetan refugee that migrated to India before 01.01.1962.
• Persons who migrated from the countries to settle permanently in India such as Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Kenya, Uganda, The United Republic of Tanzania.

Age limit is same for male and female candidates. Candidates falling within the age group should only apply for the post. As per Delhi Police age limit for male candidates is 18 to 27 years. Age limit is the most important criteria that an interested candidate should be aware of in Delhi Police Head Constable Eligibility. It is to be noted that there are relaxation in age limit, some prominent relaxation based on previous job , encouragement for sports person and based on category are as follows:

Education Qualification For Constable Post

Candidates who have passed class 12th from recognized board are eligible to apply for the post of Delhi Police Head Constable.

Delhi Police Constable Exam Pattern

The Recruitment of Delhi Police Constable consists of four steps. Candidates have to pass each stage to get appear for the next steps and complete the recruitment process. The Exam Pattern the Physical Standard and test is based on the notice released by the Delhi Police. The Delhi Police Constable Selection process consists of the following test held in the given order.

• Written Test (Computer Based)
• Physical Test
• Medical Test
• Document Verification

According to the notice released the written exam is of 100 marks, consists of 4 sections .i.e, Reasoning, G.K, maths, and Computer. The written exam is the first stage of the recruitment process. The test is of one and a half hours time. Check the marks distribution and number of questions of each section in the table below.

Important Points:

• The written exam is an Objective Type Test.
• The exam will be a Computer Based Online paper.
• There will be single paper consist of 100 Questions of 100 Marks.
• There will be negative marking of 0.25 Marks for each wrong answer.
• The Question Paper is bilingual i.e., Hindi and English Language.
• The Written Exam paper is of 1 hour 30 minutes (90 Minutes) only

• 800 metre race in 4 minutes
• Long Jump: 2.7 metre in 3 chances
• High Jump: 0.9 metre in 3 chances.

Medical standard (For all posts) :-

Medical Examination All the candidates who qualify in Paper-II will be medically examined by the Medical Officer of the CAPFs or any other Medical Officer or Assistant Surgeon belonging to Grade I of any Central/ State Govt. Hospital or Dispensary. Candidates, who are found to be unfit, will be informed of the position and they can make an appeal before Review Medical Board within the prescribed time limit of 15 days. The decision of Re-Medical Board/ Review Medical Board will be final and no appeal/ representation against the decision of the Re-Medical Board/ Review Medical Board will be entertained.

Eye-sight:

The minimum near vision should be N6 (better eye) and N9 (worse eye). The minimum distant vision should be 6/6 (better eye) and 6/9 (worse eye)of both eyes without any correction like wearing glasses or surgery of any kind to improve visual acuity. In a right-handed person, the right eye is better eye and vice versa.

• The candidate must not have a knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in the eyes and they should possess high color vision.
• They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
