UGC NET December 2019: Exam Date, Pattern and Syllabus.

UGC National Eligibility Test is conducted by NTA to evaluate the eligibility of assistant professors and Junior Research Fellowship in Indian universities and colleges. 

Notification for UGC NET 2019 is out! 

UGC NET 2019 is being conducted on 2nd Dec to 6th Dec. The qualified candidates will be getting E-Certificates by UGC NET Bureau. 

The online registration form submission starts from Sep 9th, 2019. 

The last date of downloading admit cards is on 9th November

Eligibility: 

Eligibility criteria according to age

For Junior Research Fellowship: 

  • Not more than 30 years as on 1st December 2019. A relaxation up to 5 years is provided to the candidates belonging to OBC (Non-creamy layer, as per the Central list of OBC available on Website www.ncbc.nic.in) SC/ST/PwD/Transgender categories and to women applicants. 

 

  • Relaxation will also be provided to the candidates having research experience, limited to the period spent on research in the relevant/related subject of post-graduation degree, subject to a maximum of 5 years, on the production of a certificate from the appropriate authority.

 

  • LLM Degree candidates will be permissible for three years of relaxation in age.

 

  • 5 years of relaxation applicable for the candidates who served armed forces. 

For the Assistant professor, there is no upper age limit for applying. 

Educational Qualification: 

  • Candidates must have a score of at least 55%(50% for reserved categories) in their post-graduation
  • Students from the final year are also eligible to appear in the exam. Once they clear their academics exam, they will be posted as a junior research fellowship or professorship. 
  • Candidates who have completed their post-graduation exam before September 19, 1991and have done a Ph.D. are eligible for this exam.and they are provided with additional relaxation of 5% minimum marks in requirement. 

Application Fee: 

General Category Candidates:  INR 800 

OBC (Non- Creamy Layer)/ EWS: INR 400 

SC/ ST/ PwD/ Transgender:  INR 200

UGC NET exam will be conducted in 263 cities this year. 

The admit card will be issued on November 9th as mentioned above. Candidates can download their Admit Card only at http://ntanet.nic.in by logging in with a given registration number and date of birth.  Admit card will have all the details a candidate will require like, name, roll number, photograph, signature, exam details including date, time and slot. 

Exam Pattern: 

This exam has two papers, 1 and 2. It is a computer-based exam with multiple-choice questions. Each question carries two marks and there is no negative marking. 

Paper 1 is common for all candidates. It covers teaching, reasoning, aptitude, comprehension, divergent thinking, and general awareness. 

Paper 2 is on the subject chosen by the candidate. The questions are way more in-depth and specific about the subject selected. 

Exam duration combining both the papers is 180 minutes i.e; 3 hours.

IBPS Bank PO Notification 2019 is Out!

Institute of Banking Personnel (IBPS) mainly conducts exams for students who are looking for their career in the banking sector. The students who are qualified in IBPS by writing different exams will be recruited for public banks in the nation (except SBI).

IBPS conducts exams every year in 4 different exams. Every exam held within a period of 3-4 months. Four different Exams of IBPS are:

    • IBPS PO (Probationary Officer) Exam
    • IBPS Specialist Officers Exam
    • IBPS RRB (Regional Rural Bank) PO and Assistant Exam

 

  • IBPS Clerk

 

We have received the notification for IBPS PO 2019. So what is IBPS PO?

It is an entry-level exam of IBPS. PO is Probationary Officer, i.e, PO defines the assistant manager role in public banks.

When a candidate gets selected for the post of Probationary Officer through IBPS PO 2019, he/ she first serve a probation period of 2 years (that varies across different Public Sector Banks). After the bank employee completes their probation period, they appear for an internal exam conducted by the bank he/ she is serving. One can be promoted internally when they attend an exam which promotes the candidate from PO to Deputy manager. 

The responsibilities of a PO would be public relations, monitor and regulate branch activities & tasks, address customer related issues & grievances, approve & monitor daily transactions of branch & customers and handle the processing of loans. It is a multi tasking job and the PO should be real quick in their work to handle everything in a balance. The salary of a PO varies from 34000 INR to 43000 INR per month. 

IBPS PO exam in 2019 will select candidates for 27 public bank sectors and regional rural banks. The notification 2019 was released on 2nd August, 2019 for 4336 posts of POs. The online registration will be started on 7th August. 

PO exam is divided into two parts.
1.  Preliminary exam (prelims)
2.  Mains exam 

The online registration starts on 7th August and ends on 28th August, 2019. The preliminary admit card release date will be on 1st week of October, 2019. The Preliminary exam dates are 12th, 13th, 19th & 20th October 2019 and the results will be announced between October/ November 2019. 

Considering that results, the mains exam will be conducted on 30th November, 2019 and the results of that will be released in the month of December 2019. The conduct interview will be held in the month of January or February 2020 and the provisional allotment will be in April 2020.

What is the application fee?

If you belong to SC/ST/PWD Community, the fee will be 100 INR

If you belong to others and general category, your fees will be 600 INR

This year IBPS has introduced 4336 vacancies in the while the last year’s vacancies were 4252.

  1. IBPS PO mains 2018 will now have 200 questions in total and the time frame for the exam will be 120 minutes.
